Wise Women Yoga
This is a very mindful and slow paced class that really helps fine-tune your body awareness and relaxes your muscles and your nervous system. Energy kinesiology practices are sprinkled into the class to enhance brain integration. At the end of class, we set aside some time for sharing and learning from each other. It's an incredible community of like-minded, curious, vibrant and growth-oriented women.

About Mandy
I have been teaching yoga classes and private lessons in Eugene for about 15 years. My teaching is informed by the principles of yoga therapy. I am someone who has dedicated a lot of my life to healing myself (from physical and emotional pain) through movement and energy kinesiology and I enjoy sharing what I've learned with others.
How I Teach
I don't focus much on teaching my students poses - I focus on teaching them how to move more purely (with less compensations) because moving purely is the way to reduce pain and stiffness. My goal is to empower my students to understand their bodies so that they can move and live the way they want. I believe that if everyone respected and understood their bodies better, a lot of pain and suffering would be eliminated. I was taught by renown kinesiologist and yoga therapist, Susi Hately. (I highly recommend her online teachings, which can be found here).

Saturday Yoga Class
This is a very slow and mindful class..perfect for beginners, inflexibles and post injury rehab phase. Each month we focus on a section of the body (Spine, Hips, Shoulders, etc.) The first half of the class we will do a handful of movements and break them down to understand what they are about and what the point of each movement is. Then the second half of the class we will review and practice all of the movements we just learned - the pace will move faster and it will feel more like a regular yoga class flow.

Dance Into Joy
An hour-long dance aerobics class that offers you:

An opportunity to explore dance as a way to become more comfortable being in and enjoying our bodies

Simple choreography for beginners, lots of repetition

Occasionally you will dance freely without choreography

Fun pop and world music with different moods
-
Energy medicine sprinkled in to improve coordination and energy flow

Sound and movement for self expression - use the movement as a way to feel & experience emotion (if you so choose)

For individuals (no partner needed)

Wear comfortable clothes - bare feet preferred. If shoes are needed, just need to be clean for indoor use
